Carlin - Process Operations Coordinator, Roaster

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Process Operations Coordinator at our Carlin operation. The successful candidate will coordinate activities within the operational group and with other support groups.

• Demonstrate understanding of plant operations and capable of making sound business decisions, troubleshoot and assess operational issues.
• Coordinate day to day, weekly and monthly activities performed by operations.
• Plan and execute operational needs for yearly and monthly scheduled downtime.
• Coordinate/synchronize maintenance and operations tasks/projects to streamline work efficiency.
• Set up short- and long-term manpower schedules.
• Coordinate weekly, monthly, and shutdown maintainance and operations shutdown activities to minimize process loss.
• Direct and manage day crew activity to achieve safe, efficient, and optimal production.
• Efficiently order any operational items needed through SAP. (Tools, PPE, ETC)
• Work with plant metallurgist and engineers to ensure plant operations is operating with latest technologies.
• Track and close out work orders once verified work is completed.
• Manage contractors being utilized by operations to ensure all jobs are completed safely and efficiently as the End User.
• Manage contractors, set up contracts and work scopes, acquire job bids from contractor to ensure competitive pricing.
• Understanding of proper contract and purchase cost elements (GL accounts) in SAP.
• Ensure best safety practices are being used and addressing any safety related concerns immediately.
• Manage/coordinate operator training strategies including managing procedures and LOTO systems/documentation.
• Develop and implement new operating procedures.
• Create standards job plans for operational jobs.

• Minimum of four (4) to eight (8) years of working in an operation function.
• Proven safety record and ability to support team in attainment of safety, environmental, equipment protection and production goals.
• Supervisory experience.
• Ability to understand role and how it contributes to the overall output and business objectives.
• Ability to pace own work and work unsupervised; capable of re-adjusting priorities when necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all media forms including the ability to deliver clear and concise information to employees and contractors on all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to perform essential function of the position.
