Medical / Surgical DepartmentThe 26‑bed department delivers clinical care for patients from neonatal to geriatric. Our culture values teamwork and effective communication essential for specialized patient care.
How You'll Contribute- Prioritize and organize delivery of nursing care, accepting a variety of assignments and consulting with other disciplines as appropriate.
- Assist in staff development activities, including orienting, instructing and training others, emphasizing departmental and interdepartmental cooperation and teamwork.
- Demonstrate sensitivity to patient comfort and privacy; express interest in their progress and aid patients and families during stress or crisis.
- Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatment.
- Document patient care given.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well‑being of the patient.

- Current state RN license.
- Associate’s degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 14 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 30 days of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire.
