Registered Nurse - OR -
Responsibilities- Description NNRH is looking for an experienced OR RN.
- The likely candidate must have excellent IV skills and critical thinking for rapid response assessment.
- The OR RN will be able to assist surgical team during surgical procedures.
- Participates in call and stand-by schedules.
- Prepares the Operating room for cases by setting tables, instruments and supplies according to type of case.
- Must know and practice the principles of aseptic technique maintain an aseptically controlled environment.
- Knowledge of the proper equipment for each procedure, as well as prepare equipment and supplies necessary to perform each procedure.
- A nticipate surgeons needs in sufficient time for the surgical teams use.
- Maintain the accuracy of all sponge, needle, and instrument counts.
- Is responsible for assisting with between case clean-up and with preparations for the next case.
- Clean, assemble and prepare instruments, equipment, and supplies for sterilization when needed.
- Nevada RN license required.
- Current BCLS, ACLS and PALS upon hire.
