Job Type: Full-time, Part-time

The Line Cook performs a variety of restaurant/kitchen related tasks including food preparation, product stocking and rotation, food prep, and basic cleaning duties. Hiring at both Maverick Casino & Hotel and Gold Country Inn & Casino.

$16-$19 /hr DOE

• Housing options available after 90 days*

• Stock supplies, products, and utensils throughout the kitchen and general cleaning of the kitchen and stock areas.
• Set up station according to restaurant guidelines.
• Prepare all food items as directed, in a sanitary and timely manner.
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager.

• Previous prep or line cook experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cooking procedures and kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of safety rules for kitchen equipment.
• Maintain safety in a high-pace and hot environment.
• Perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize and organize, uses time efficiently.
• Actively promote and personally observe safety and security procedures, and use equipment and materials properly.
• Ability to read and satisfactorily communicate in English with co-workers and management to their understanding.
• Stay self-motivated in work environment.
• Ability to prepare food according to food handler’s guidelines.

This position typically works varied shifts, including weekend and holidays. Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
