Seasonal Sales Associate; Store

Working under direct guidance and supervision, the Seasonal Sales Associate supports the store team on a short-term basis by delivering guest service experiences in a sales environment that uses Game Stop’s buy, sell, trade, and reservation model. The role focuses on sales, store maintenance, and customer service during peak seasonal days.

• Provide best-in-class customer service by greeting guests, assisting with gaming needs, recommending additional items, applying selling behaviors during every transaction, and thanking guests for choosing Game Stop.
• Support the overall shopping environment, including visual and operational aspects, and contribute to store sales initiatives during the holiday season.
• Collaborate with the store team to keep areas clean, organized, and merchandised according to guidelines, including restrooms.
• Assist in stocking and restocking merchandise on shelves and fixtures, transferring products from stock to the floor, and ensuring products are well-presented and organized.
• Assist the store team in meeting and exceeding sales, profit, and shrinkage reduction goals.
• Address guest questions and concerns promptly and courteously; escalate issues to a store keyholder as needed.
• Support inventory control and loss prevention practices, including awareness of scams and safety best practices.
• Adhere to Game Stop policies and procedures, including attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous retail sales or guest service experience preferred.

• Availability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to follow written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions.
• Outgoing and friendly personality with strong guest service skills.
• Provide genuine and friendly assistance to every guest.
• Clear verbal communication and listening skills in English; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment and meet objectives.
• Work independently and as part of a team.
• Meet performance expectations including attendance, professional dress, grooming; able to stand and move for at least 8 hours per day.
• Capable of bending, stooping, reaching, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 30 lbs from ground level to 4 feet.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
