Leeville - Underground Electrician (Tech 4 or Higher)

We invite you to join Nevada Gold Mines as an Underground Electrician. This role is located in Leeville and requires a Technician 4 level or higher.

• Create and research work orders in Ellipse; insert completion comments; review technical data sheets, schematics, blueprints and instructional guides.
• Apply electrical theory to troubleshoot and repair; use math skills in the electrical trade.
• Explain PLC theory of operation.
• Use basic motor knowledge to troubleshoot, repair, inspect, install electric motors, and perform basic motor alignment.
• Read, comprehend, and interpret the National Electric Code; select construction materials and install them according to guidelines.
• Install electrical systems up to 4160 V, including wiring, circuit installation, cables and switch gear.
• Make 4160 V splice and terminate high voltage under supervision.
• Explain operation of power feeds for hoists, Avtron drive control units, PLC control boxes, hoist control cubicles, hoist brake control panels, shaft control boxes, Tiley H.M.I. control desk, pneumatic brake system, digital hoist supervision cubicles, shaft communications (bells), MSHA hoisting regulations, hoisting safeties, and document in log book.
• Demonstrate knowledge of transformers, AC circuits, and electrical protective devices; understand power feed circuits to/from substation, transformers, motor control centers, starters and motors; maintain power distribution systems; set up over‑current and short‑circuit protection devices.
• Represent all responsibilities above as part of daily work.
• Work a rotating schedule of nights and days (essential function).
