Operations Supervisor – Continuous Improvement
Student Transportation of America, doing business as Diversified Transportation Ltd., is seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Supervisor to join our growing team in Elko, Nevada.
In this role, you will work in a rotational schedule (7 days on/ 7 days off), providing consistent operational leadership and support to our employee transportation division serving large-scale industrial clients. This position partners closely with the existing Operations Supervisor to maintain seamless operations and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of safety, service, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily field operations to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable service delivery.
- Provide leadership and guidance to drivers, dispatchers, and operational support staff.
- Collaborate with the current Operations Supervisor to maintain continuity and service excellence across shifts.
- Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement, efficiency, and safety performance.
- Conduct incident investigations, analyze trends, and implement corrective and preventive measures.
- Review performance data and operational KPIs to identify opportunities for optimization.
- Foster positive working relationships with employees, clients, and community partners.
- High school diploma required; post-secondary education in management, logistics, or transportation is an asset.
- Minimum 2-3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in transportation or a related industry.
- Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and other applicable safety standards.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with operational reporting tools.
- Valid driver’s license with clean record; CDL with passenger endorsement preferred.
