Talascend is currently seeking an IT Asset Technician for a W-2 contract to possible direct-hire opportunity located in Elkridge, Maryland.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for receiving computers at client site.Prepare equipment for reuse or, in some cases, disposal.Prepare computers to be shipped, imaging, software updates and configuration updates and boxing them up for shipping.Perform light lifting, including unboxing and boxing equipment.Maintain organization and manage simple spreadsheets.Follow checklists and instructions with attention to detail.Physically sanitize the machine (clean) run diagnostics, separate warranty systems and non.Adhere to a consistent weekly schedule.REQUIREMENTS:US Citizenship.1+ years background in IT.Strong organization skills.Must be able to work independently while following checklist and specified processes.Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.Attention to detail.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Familiarity with software installation, diagnostic tools, and imaging processes.Knowledge of Service Now, SCCM concepts, and computer hardware is a plus.Prior Asset Management experience.We thank all applicants for their interest.
