The Role of the Warehouse Operator- Pick and complete dealer orders safely and on time.
- Put‑away inbound material according to prescribed procedures, meeting management benchmarks.
- Ensure all work is safe for the individual and the environment.
- Maintain quality, aiming for zero errors.
- Participate in all quality and environmental programs.
- Engage in company initiatives such as the Volvo Group Attitude Survey, Idea Generation, and OD/VPS.
- Report irregularities to supervisors or managers.
- Interact with co‑workers as required.
- Adhere to work rules, conduct guidelines, punctuality, and attendance standards.
- Meet multiple deadlines and handle emergency requests promptly.
- Work any or flexible warehouse shift schedule, including overtime on nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Follow collectively bargained labor agreement terms.
- Complete dealer orders from start to finish except where irregularities must be addressed by a supervisor.
- Complete put‑away of inbound material unless irregularities require supervisor intervention.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 to 6 months of related material handling experience or training preferred.
- Ability to pass basic skills test (reading and mathematics).
- Follow established procedures and instructions.
- Availability for overtime as needed.
- Reach with arms and hands regularly.
- Stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and controls.
- Sit, climb, balance, and crouch as required.
- Lift up to 70 lbs.
- Maintain vision and hearing within specified limits.
- Work at heights up to 25 ft on raised platform equipment.
- Base pay $22.87 per hour, with bonus eligibility where applicable.
