Northrop Grumman is in need of a Manager Quality Control 2 based at its Elkton, Maryland facility. The Manager Quality Control 2 is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of technicians, inspectors, and chemists as well as performing technical duties. The role oversees the safety of laboratory facilities, maintaining current knowledge of relevant protocols, regulations, standards, and safety procedures while developing and maintaining standard operating procedures.

This position also manages inventory, including selecting, purchasing, storing, and allocating laboratory equipment, supplies, and data analysis tools. The candidate requires excellent interpersonal and organizational skills combined with a “can do” attitude.

Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems for a wide variety of government and commercial customers, while serving as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.

Elkton, Maryland is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. The area offers charming small towns, parks with miles of trails, specialty and antique shops, award‑winning restaurants, and inns. Residents can hike, bike, camp, bird‑watch, ride horseback, or drop a fishing line. Five Rivers, Chesapeake Bay, and the C&D Canal can be explored by boat or land, providing panoramic views from Turkey Point Lighthouse and across the C&D Canal.

  • Supports Return to Green, Failure Analysis, and Corrective Action activities with a focus on full resolution and future risk mitigation.
  • Drives culture change toward more proactive risk mitigation, data‑driven decision making, and a continuous improvement mindset.
