Eligibility requirements vary by position.

The Produce Inspector is responsible for inspection of produce deliveries to ensure product ordered adheres to contract and USDA specifications within BJ's perishable consolidation operation.

• Administering quality tests on produce commodities.
• Documenting inspection results on inbound and residual produce product.
• Performing quality control audits on outbound shipments.
• Conferring with Senior Produce Inspector and/or Produce Buyer when product does not meet contracted grades.
• Audit produce on hands quality to ensure accuracy and investigate discrepancies.

Requirements

• Proficiency in produce inspection procedures with extensive knowledge of produce quality assessment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, food safety, USDA inspections, PACA requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
• One year produce inspection experience in a warehouse or retail environment.
• High school diploma required.

The pay range for this position is $20.75 - $24.90
