Oxford Feed & Lumber is looking for an Assistant Store Manager to join our team at our family-owned, community focused business. We're looking for someone with a passion for hardware, paint, power equipment, grills, lawn & garden, and all the things that make a great local hardware farm feed store.

This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working with customers, solving problems, helping team members, and jumping in wherever needed.

• Provide exceptional, friendly customer service and build relationships with our local customers
• Help customers find the right products and solutions across hardware, paint, power equipment, grills, lawn & garden, and general home & farm needs
• Be a knowledgeable resource for both customers and team members
• Assist with merchandising, displays, ordering, and maintaining well-stocked departments
• Help lead and support store employees and contribute to a positive team environment
• Assist with daily store operations and step in wherever you’re needed
• Help drive sales through product knowledge, customer relationships, seasonal promotions, and creative merchandising
• Keep departments organized, clean, safe, and ready for customers
• Develop relationships with local customers, contractors, farmers, homeowners, and community members
• Represent Oxford Feed & Lumber and our commitment to being a local business that knows and cares about its customers

• Passionate about hardware and home & farm products
• Knowledgeable—or eager to become knowledgeable—about paint, power equipment, grills, lawn & garden, hardware, and related products
• A strong customer-service person who genuinely enjoys helping people
• A natural problem solver who can say, “Let’s figure it out.”
• Comfortable wearing many hats and working in a fast-paced retail environment
• A team player who is willing to jump in and help wherever needed
• Organized, dependable, and able to take initiative
• Comfortable leading and supporting a team
• Someone who enjoys working for a family-owned business where relationships matter

You don’t have to know everything—but you should be the kind of person who wants to know everything.

If you can help someone choose the right paint, figure out why their lawn equipment isn’t working, recommend a grill, find a hard-to-find piece of hardware, help a customer with a home project, and then jump in to help stock shelves or build a display,
