As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Elkton, MD
, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication.

What You’ll Do:
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including both the business interior and perimeter areas.
  • Observe and report security-related irregularities, such as suspicious activities or unauthorized individuals on the premises.
  • Assist in controlling access to the facility by monitoring entrances and exits as assigned.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues and concerns.
  • Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols for incidents within the location.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
