Management Accountant

A newly created opportunity for a part-qualified accountant to join a profitable and growing manufacturing business based in Elland. This is a varied, hands‑on role that blends manufacturing accounting, cost analysis, and systems development. The business is in an exciting phase, establishing its first UK manufacturing plant and integrating a new ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central). You'll play a key part in shaping cost visibility, improving processes, and providing meaningful financial insight across the operation.

• Developing and maintaining standard costing models, BOMs, and routings
• Preparing detailed variance analysis (labour, material, overhead, yield)
• Producing management accounts and KPI dashboards with commentary
• Partnering with operations and procurement to drive cost control and efficiency
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
• Leading ERP development and reporting improvements within Business Central
• Enhancing management information, reporting automation, and data accuracy

• Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA or equivalent (study support available)
• Experience in a manufacturing environment with strong cost awareness
• Good knowledge of ERP systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Strong Excel skills and confidence with data analysis
• A proactive mindset and interest in systems, process improvement, and commercial insight

• Salary circa £40,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
• Annual bonus averaging 25-35% of base salary
• Total compensation £52,000 - £58,000
