Habasit is looking to recruit a Graduate Capacity / Production Planner to join our Operations team in Elland. This permanent, full-time opportunity is ideal for a recent graduate looking to build a career within production planning, manufacturing operations, and supply chain management.
Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, the successful candidate will support capacity planning and production scheduling activities using SAP, while acting as a key link between Customer Care and Fabrication teams.
The role offers structured on-the-job training, SAP coaching, and mentorship from experienced operational managers.
Key responsibilities- Supporting daily production scheduling and capacity planning activities within SAP.
- Monitoring work centre capacity and identifying bottlenecks or under‑utilisation.
- Reviewing and prioritising production orders in line with customer requirements and available capacity.
- Maintaining and updating work centre master data and production routings within SAP.
- Participating in daily production meetings and supporting schedule adjustments in real time.
- Coordinating raw material availability and supporting production order release.
- Communicating order progress, schedule changes, and potential delays between Customer Care and Fabrication teams.
- Supporting stock monitoring and helping resolve material shortages.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and organisational ability.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or similar data tools.
- Interest in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain careers.
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes including SAP.
Desirable
- Exposure to SAP, ERP systems, or planning tools.
- Manufacturing, logistics, or operations placement/internship experience.
- Awareness of production planning and scheduling concepts.
- Knowledge of Lean or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Day shifts.
