Overview
Anderson Hay & Grain is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to join the Ellensburg Accounting team. This is specifically an in-person, in-office position based in Ellensburg, WA. The Accounting Manager will have a key role in maintaining accuracy in the General Ledger and Financial Statements as well as the functions listed below.
Job Functions- Supervise and manage a team, including oversight of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Responsible for accuracy in the general ledger and financial statements
- Review Scorecards with responsible budget owners and managers
- Prepare summary feedback of financial statements variances to budget
- Validate and prepare monthly consolidated financial statements in compliance with GAAP
- Strong teamwork focus on commitment
- Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes
- Work directly with auditors on the completion of annual audits
- Prepare data necessary for tax planning and return preparation
- Collaborate with other departments to support budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and liaise with external auditors during audits
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager
Minimum Qualifications:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 4+ years in Accounting, General Ledger through Financial Statements
- Proficiency in financial analysis, general ledger reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Strong teamwork focus on commitment
- Ability to collaborate successfully in a team environment and independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years public accounting experience
- Previous experience in agriculture or related industry
- Experience with large scale ERP systems
- Oracle experience
- Medical, Dental, Vision
