Phlebotomist I – Quest Diagnostics
Location: Ellensburg, WA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Pay Range: $17.90 – $20.35 / hour
Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

- Collect specimens according to established procedures – drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams.
- Administer oral solutions according to established training.
- Research test/client information and confirm all written and electronic orders using lab technology systems, client contact, and approved tools.
- Navigate a computer and accurately enter data.
- Obtain identification and accurately enter billing information; collect payments when required, following corporate policies.
- Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport as required by test order.
- Perform all non‑patient‑facing duties: inventory, stocking supplies, sanitizing, filing, answering phones and utilizing email.
- Read, understand and comply with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
- Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data when required.
- Maintain all appropriate phlebotomy logs timely – maintenance logs, temperature logs, etc.
- Complete online and in‑person training courses timely.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
- One year phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.
- Keyboard/data entry experience.
Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination will be required.
State phlebotomy license required;
Quest does not accept NHA licenses in CA, WA, NV.
Required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
The position requires the ability to effectively communicate in English.
