Job Description

The Clinic Medical Assistant (CMA) is responsible for procedures necessary to support the provider to whom they are assigned with the goal of providing excellent patient care. Daily tasks include rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, assisting with medical procedures, administering injections and medications, verifying and updating patient medical records for completeness, refilling medications, notifying patients of test results, and other assigned duties within the CMA scope of practice.

This position may float to support other KVH clinics.

• Graduate of an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program & currently licensed in the State of Washington.
• Current BLS card for Healthcare Provider (maintenance required)
• Previous exposure to an Electronic Medical Records system

• Certified as Bilingual;
  English/Spanish
• Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant
• CWCA Wound Care Certification
• Certificate Program in Pediatrics from the American Association of Medical Assistants
• Certificate Program in Geriatrics from the American Association of Medical Assistants

Wage range currently starts at $21.28/hour and goes up to $32.25/hour.

Actual wage will be based on years' of applicable experience.

For our Medical Assistants we have created a career progression ladder based on the ability to float between clinics and function as a preceptor for students.

Tier 2 - $21.91 - $33.22

Tier 3 - $23.35 - $35.39

Tier 4 - $24.52 - $37.16

Tier 5 - $25.74 - $39.02
