Job DescriptionThe House Supervisor (RN) provides 24/7 clinical and administrative oversight in a Critical Access Hospital, ensuring safe, high‑quality patient care and the smooth functioning of hospital operations. Reporting to the Manager of Patient Care Services, the House Supervisor serves as the on‑site administrative leader in the absence of department directors, the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), or Hospital Administration.
This role requires flexibility, agility, and resilience, navigating rapidly changing situations and responding to emergent needs with sound clinical judgment and calm leadership. The House Supervisor coordinates staffing, facilitates patient flow, addresses urgent operational or clinical issues, and supports frontline teams across all departments—acting as a stabilizing presence and key decision‑maker during off‑hours and high‑stress scenarios.
Qualifications Required- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license or Multistate License (MSL) with Washington endorsement (maintenance required)
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of five years of relevant experience, including at least three years of recent acute care experience
- Minimum two years’ House Supervisor experience
- Current BLS/CPR certification (required and must be maintained)
- ACLS certification within six months of hire (must be maintained)
- PALS certification within six months of hire (must be maintained)
- TNCC course previously completed or completed within one year of hire
- Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field
- Rural healthcare experience
- Experience with Cerner EHR
- Any certification provided under the Washington State Nurse Association contract with Kittitas Valley Healthcare
Wage: Wage range starts at $45.39/hour and goes up to $79.91/hour. Actual wage will be based on years of applicable experience. This position may also qualify for an additional 15% premium in lieu of benefits.
FTE: Per Diem; primary coverage of evenings and/or nights.
Benefits: This position is not benefits eligible.
