Bio Matrix Infusion Pharmacy — a nationwide, independently‑owned infusion pharmacy—offers part‑time, per diem infusion nursing positions based in home care settings in Ellensburg, WA.
Schedule & LocationThe role is part‑time, per diem and requires traveling to patients’ homes and other healthcare facilities. Work location may change based on business needs.
Job DescriptionA Registered Nurse will insert, monitor, and remove IV lines used to administer medications, blood products, and nutrition. The RN monitors patients for adverse reactions, provides veinous phlebotomy as needed, records vital signs, performs physical assessments, and documents all patient‑related activities. Staffing coordination and communication with patients, the Company Directors, Nursing Coordinator, and Director of Nursing are integral parts of the role.
Qualifications– Required
- Registered Nursing degree from an accredited college or university
- Current RN license in the state of Washington
- A minimum of two (2) years of RN experience
- IV certification with experience in central line care and management
- CPR certification
- Valid state driver’s license
- Experience in home care, critical care, or emergency nursing preferred
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to travel to patients’ homes and other healthcare facilities
- Strong documentation skills and ability to meet quality standards
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
- RN license in other states
- Experience in staffing or scheduling
- Experience with PICC/port/midline lines
- Schedule and conduct nursing visits according to pharmacy protocols.
- Coordinate staffing, send schedules via email, and confirm visits with patients and nursing agency.
- Enter therapy administration reports and communicate updates to the care team.
- Review patient notes for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with dosing and timing.
- Communicate problems, reportable situations, and patient status to the referring MD and nursing leadership.
- Operate computers for reports, searches, and scheduling.
- Insert intravenous cannulas, administer prescribed solutions, monitor infusion sites, and evaluate patient responses.
- Educate patients and caregivers on home infusion care and troubleshooting.
- Prepare clinical records, care plans, and progress notes for each visit.
- Drive as required within state boundaries.
- Driving to patient homes and healthcare facilities.
- Walking, standing, kneeling, and stooping.
- Using hands to manipulate IV equipment and monitor patients.
- Occasional lifting of up to 20–25 pounds.
- Constant verbal communication and listening.
- Visual requirements include close‑ and distance‑vision.
