Accounts Assistant

RG Consultancy are excited to be working with a leading engineering company based in South Wirral to help recruit an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced candidate to develop their career and work within a supportive team.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Assist with month-end procedures and reporting.
• Processing high volumes of purchase invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Matching, batching, and coding invoices.
• Produce reports, cash forecasts, and account reconciliations.
• Reconciling supplier statements and resolving invoice queries.
• Assist with weekly supplier payment runs.
• Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining accurate records.
• Supporting weekly payment runs and monitoring overdue balances.
• Processing employee expense claims where required.
• Liaising with suppliers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensuring all financial records are maintained in line with company procedures.
• Identify and support improvements to accounts payable processes and systems.
• Strong use of accounting software needed (Excel, SAP, Sage).
• At least 2 years experience within a similar role.
