What skills and experience we're looking for
- Recent experience of teaching the 11-16 age range
- Essential - Recent experience of teaching students in key stage 5
- Essential - An outstanding classroom practitioner
- Essential - Interest in and willingness to teach students in Key Stage 5 Government & Politics and/or Law at A Level
- Desirable - Degree or equivalent qualification and a teaching qualification
- Essential - Up-to-date in-service training in subject and whole school issues
- Desirable - Additional qualifications relevant to the post
- Desirable - Strong working knowledge of the National Curriculum, issues and developments
- Essential - Highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; the ability to lead and enthuse others; the ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with other departments
- Essential - Excellent administration, organisation and management skills
- Essential - Excellent information and communication technology skills
- Essential - Knowledge of equal opportunity issues for students and staff
- Essential - A flexible and open-minded approach to learning and teaching with an understanding and proven practice of differentiation
