What skills and experience we're looking for

• Recent experience of teaching the 11-16 age range

• Recent experience of teaching students in key stage 5
  - Essential
• An outstanding classroom practitioner
  - Essential
• Interest in and willingness to teach students in Key Stage 5 Government & Politics and/or Law at A Level
  - Desirable
• Degree or equivalent qualification and a teaching qualification
  - Essential
• Up-to-date in-service training in subject and whole school issues
  - Desirable
• Additional qualifications relevant to the post
  - Desirable
• Strong working knowledge of the National Curriculum, issues and developments
  - Essential
• Highly effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; the ability to lead and enthuse others; the ability to co-operate and co-ordinate with other departments

• Excellent administration, organisation and management skills

• Excellent information and communication technology skills
