SEN Teaching Assistant
Reed Education are currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Ellesmere Port from September on a full-time, long-term basis.
About the SchoolThis is a well-established SEMH specialist school supporting secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.
The school has a strong, nurturing and aspirational ethos, with a real focus on helping pupils rebuild confidence and re-engage with education.

The RoleYou will be working with pupils in Years 7-11, supporting a range of additional needs, particularly SEMH.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1:1 and small group support
- Supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- Assisting with tailored learning activities
- Building strong, positive relationships with pupils
- Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams
- Previous experience working with children or young people (essential)
- Experience in an SEMH setting is highly desirable, but not essential
- A calm, resilient and patient approach
- Strong behaviour management skills
- A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs
