Recruit4staff are representing an established manufacturing business in their search for a Part-Time Maintenance Technician to work in Ellesmere Port
- Hours of Work: 15-20 hours per week, working weekdays between 8:00am and 4:00pm
- Duration:
Temporary to permanent, with an expected initial duration of six months
- Pay: £17.00-£22.00 per hour

As a Part-Time Maintenance Technician
, you will carry out planned maintenance and occasional breakdown repairs on production line equipment. You will identify and replace faulty components, complete routine building‑services checks and support small engineering projects. The Part-Time Maintenance Technician will also manage the engineering stores and arrange specialist engineering support when required.
- Carrying out planned maintenance on production line equipment
- Attending occasional equipment breakdowns
- Replacing faulty valves, worn seals and other components
- Correcting equipment synchronisation problems
- Removing and replacing defective parts
- Calling out specialist engineers when required
- Managing and maintaining the engineering stores
- Completing small engineering projects as required
- Carrying out planned checks on building services
Qualifications:
- Mechanical qualifications or relevant practical experience
- Previous mechanical maintenance or engineering experience
- The ability to work independently and manage routine maintenance tasks
- A practical and methodical approach to fault‑finding
- The successful Part-Time Maintenance Technician must be comfortable working on production machinery and building services
- Previous experience of mechanical maintenance and repairs on conveyors
- Experience working with transmission components
Experience maintaining liquid‑filling machinery - Experience maintaining sachet‑sealing machinery
- Previous production or manufacturing maintenance experience would support success in the Part-Time Maintenance Technician role
- This is a part‑time position offering between 15 and 20 hours per week
- Some flexibility can be arranged regarding the required working days
- The Part-Time Maintenance Technician may occasionally need to arrange external specialist engineering support
- The role is expected to become permanent following the initial temporary period
