Are you an experienced logistics professional with a passion for process optimisation, lean manufacturing, and large‑scale industrial projects? We are seeking a Logistics Project Engineer to join a major programme delivering a new vehicle assembly line for a leading Global OEM
.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing and implementing material flow solutions that will directly support world‑class manufacturing operations.

The Role

As a Logistics Project Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing end‑to‑end logistics flows that support a new assembly line, from material reception through to line‑side delivery.

Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and plant teams, you will ensure efficient, lean, and robust logistics solutions are developed and successfully deployed.

Key Responsibilities Logistics Design & Planning
  • Develop and optimise logistics flow concepts and layouts.
  • Define material handling strategies from goods receipt to assembly line delivery.
  • Calculate logistics resource requirements, including headcount and equipment needs.
  • Define CAPEX requirements to support logistics operations.
Project Implementation
  • Lead the physical implementation of approved logistics solutions.
  • Coordinate equipment procurement and installation activities.
  • Plan and manage deployment activities across the production facility.
  • Support commissioning and ensure successful handover to operational teams.
Project Management & Reporting
  • Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and milestones.
  • Track and report key project KPIs.
  • Identify risks and implement mitigation plans.
  • Provide regular status updates to key stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement
  • Collaborate with plant personnel and project teams to drive operational excellence.
  • Apply Lean principles to improve efficiency, productivity, and material flow performance.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the project lifecycle.
About You

You are a proactive and results‑driven engineer with strong communication skills and a passion for delivering complex manufacturing projects.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Knowledge of Logistics Operations and Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
  • Experience using AutoCAD
  • Ability to manage projects from concept through to implementation
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • English language proficiency at B2 level or above
