This role is within a dedicated Research Team, focusing on electromagnetic field studies, software development, and system design related to vessel systems and underwater measurement ranges.

Key Responsibilities:

The role will involve a variety of scientific, modelling, and programming activities across different project stages, including:
Magnetic and electric source modelling Electromagnetic field propagation in various media Finite Element & Boundary Element Analysis Underwater Signature Analysis (electromagnetic, acoustic, pressure, seismic) Numerical and optimisation methods Modern control theory Qualifications/

Education Requirements:

Educated to degree level (or higher) in physics, mathematics, or a related scientific discipline A postgraduate qualification or relevant experience is highly desirable Strong programming skills (experience in C++ is a plus) Experience in electromagnetic modelling, Vector Fields FEA, COMSOL, MATLAB/Simulink is advantageous Strong written communication and report writing skills Confident in presenting and customer interactions Willingness to travel for site work, research, or commissioning trials in the UK and globally This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an innovative team working on pioneering technologies in the maritime sector.
