Are you an ambitious sales leader looking for the opportunity to make a real impact?
Our client is a well-established, market-leading business with an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality solutions to customers across the UK. Following continued growth, they are looking to appoint a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead, develop and inspire their sales team while driving new business growth and strengthening key client relationships.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining strategic leadership with hands‑on business development. You'll inherit an experienced team but will also be expected to identify new opportunities, open doors through your own network and help shape the next phase of the company's growth.
The RoleReporting to the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for leading a high‑performing sales function, coaching and developing individuals, and ensuring the team consistently exceeds commercial objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing an internal and field based sales team
- Coaching and training the team to achieve ambitious growth targets
- Driving new client wins whilst maximising opportunities with existing clients
- Attending field visits with your team, and independently
- Generating leads, following incoming leads and staying abreast of industry trends
- Generating sales reports to share with Managing Director
Monitoring sales performance and KPIs, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements About YouWe’re looking for an experienced sales leader with a proven track record of delivering commercial success.
You’ll ideally have:
Significant experience in B2B Engineering sales leadership.
A strong history of winning new business and developing long-term client relationships.
Experience managing and developing successful sales teams.
A consultative approach with excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
A commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into revenue.
An established network of industry contacts and decision‑makers that you can leverage to generate new business opportunities.
The credibility to build relationships at senior decision‑maker level.
High levels of energy, resilience and ambition, with a genuine desire to help grow a successful business.
