Distribution Coordinator - contract around 6 months possibly longer
£17.95 per hour - weekly pay

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Distribution Coordinator to join a busy logistics team within a fast-paced operational environment.

This role is responsible for coordinating deliveries, managing haulier relationships and ensuring customer orders are planned and delivered efficiently. Working closely with internal teams, customers and transport partners, you will play a key role in maintaining excellent service levels and supporting day-to-day logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and allocate customer deliveries across a network of transport providers.
Manage daily communication with haulier partners to ensure smooth delivery operations.
Monitor delivery performance and resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Maintain accurate records, reports and system updates.
Support delivery confirmations, reconciliations and invoicing processes.
Work closely with internal teams including Logistics, Customer Service, Finance and IT.
Ensure compliance with operational, safety and quality procedures.
Build strong relationships with customers and transport partners.
About You

Previous experience within logistics, transport, supply chain or distribution is essential.
Experience working with third-party logistics providers and haulier networks would be advantageous.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Good IT skills including Microsoft Excel; experience with SAP or logistics systems would be beneficial.
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
Commercially aware with the ability to understand cost and service impacts.
