Senior Actuarial Consultant

• Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, Statistics or related disciplines
• Relevant computer and software skills
• Enrolled Actuary required, other Actuarial certification(s) preferred

Position Description

We are searching for a Senior Actuarial Consultant to join our team-oriented staff – the position will include the following in providing annual private and public sector pension/retiree healthcare actuarial valuation services and related work.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage a book of clients with primary responsibilities of delivering actuarial consulting services to those clients, including: actuarial valuations for private and public sector pension and OPEB retirement plans, actuarial studies, required governmental filings, retirement plan benefit calculations, benefit statements and billing responsibilities.

Required Skills and Background

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Expertise in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Ability to review and analyze data sets, run actuarial valuation programs, produce valuation reports, and deliver client presentations
• Highly organized, with analytical thinking and ability to problem solve
• Time management skills to balance client projects
