• Greeting and registering patients when they enter the practice.
• Serving as the first point of contact for patients scheduling appointments or arriving to the office.
• Managing all front‑desk operations, including:
• Scheduling patients
• Answering phones
• Scanning medical records
• Triage patient phone calls for severity or importance
• Collecting insurance information and verifying benefits
• Entering charges and posting payments
• Traveling as needed
• Supporting Mercy Medical Center’s mission by upholding confidentiality of patient and financial information and treating all patients with dignity and compassion.

• Education and Work Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • A minimum of one year experience preferred as a Medical Assistant or EMT‑Paramedic
• License Requirements – N/A
• Certification Requirements – CPR‑preferred

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Meditech (if applicable), Epic (if applicable), Performance Manager/Net Learning.

  • Working independently and making independent decisions when warranted.
  • Effectively communicating and dealing tactfully with personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
  • Flexibility, integrity, and teamwork with other employees.
  • Following written and oral instructions.
