Mike Sawyer State Farm is seeking a dependable, customer-centered Account Manager who takes pride in delivering exceptional service and ensuring clients stay fully protected. In this role, you’ll manage existing accounts, assist with policy updates, and identify opportunities within our current book of business to expand coverage and enhance client relationships.
This is a licensed position (Property & Casualty and Life & Health required). If you’re not yet licensed, we provide full support and paid training to help you obtain the necessary credentials.
Role OverviewAs an Account Manager, you’ll provide dedicated service to our established clients while supporting agency growth through in-book sales. You’ll help customers understand their coverage, manage updates and renewals, and ensure each client receives the guidance and protection they deserve. Your ability to build rapport and offer thoughtful product recommendations will play a key role in retention and long‑term satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Excellent Customer Service – Respond to client inquiries and offer clear, accurate information about coverage and policy details.
- Manage Account Servicing – Handle policy updates, renewals, documentation, and billing questions with professionalism and care.
- Conduct Policy Reviews – Identify coverage gaps and present suitable product recommendations to strengthen client protection.
- Enhance Retention – Build strong relationships, offer timely support, and proactively reinforce client satisfaction.
- Maintain Accurate Records – Keep organized notes, track follow‑up items, and ensure all customer needs are addressed promptly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer‑service mindset paired with confidence in discussing coverage upgrades and solutions
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Prior insurance, account management, or customer service experience preferred
- Licensed in Property & Casualty and Life & Health, or willingness to obtain with agency support
