As Operations Technician I/II, you’ll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record-keeping and a focus on safety are keys to success in this role.

• Safely maintains equipment and supports pipeline operations, including reading/interpreting drawings, inspecting/supervising equipment and maintaining operation/technical standards and/or governmental requirements
• Analyzes data and collaborates with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
• Follows all Company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
• Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
• Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment and permitting
• Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
• Other duties as assigned

• Operations Tech I –
  
  Required:
  
  High School Diploma/GED. Preferred:
  Associate or two-year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associate Degree.
• Operations Tech II –
  
  Required:
  
  High School Diploma/GED and minimum two (2) years’ related experience and minimum of one (1) year experience as a technician in the oil and gas industry. Preferred:
  Associate or two-year technical degree.

• Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
• Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
• Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
• Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE
• Use hand tools

• Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
• May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays

• Must possess valid State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes
• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills, Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers

Has developed technical skills or operational capabilities through technical training or equivalent work experience. Works under periodic supervision, but only for highly complex and non-routine tasks. Makes independent decisions on routine tasks.
