Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Product Manager based at our Ellisville, MO facility. The role offers a hybrid working schedule, and relocation assistance is available for candidates residing in the U.S.

Expected annual salary range: $113,000 - $165,000. This figure is a general guideline only and may vary based on skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Responsibilities
  • Sets long‑term strategic plan for product line and establishes strategic direction using market research and competitive analysis.
  • Establishes annual profit plan objectives for the product line; responsible for meeting top‑line and bottom‑line objectives.
  • Maintains general understanding of current company manufacturing technologies and relies on manufacturing engineering to stay abreast of the latest technologies.
  • Has a broad understanding of markets and customers and works with the sales team to maintain market intelligence.
  • Responsible for sustaining core product lines to adapt to market changes, penetrate new markets, and address competitive offerings; recommends programs and promotional activities to strengthen market position.
  • Develops, implements, and reviews tactical sales plans to meet annual sales volume, price, market share

    Ref and operating profit objectives; monitors performance and implements responsive changes as required.
  • Maintains primary plant contact with the Field Sales organization, develops sales strategies, supports customer cultivation plans, establishes communication channels between plant and field sales, and develops product‑line value‑proposition tools for field sales.
  • Evaluates product‑line cost reduction, modification, and process‑improvement recommendations from the manufacturing team; holds regular documented meetings with the teams to provide clear direction and priority.
  • Participates as a key member of a product‑development team through concept, development, implementation, and market introduction for the product or product line.
  • Responsible for product literature content that includes features, benefits, and performance data in printed and electronic formats; monitors these areas throughout product lifecycle management.
  • Sets product pricing strategies and understands competitive market pricing for the portfolio.
Qualifications (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
  • One year of commercial product development experience, including defining go‑to‑market strategies, understanding product portfolio management and competitive landscapes.
  • Four years of experience in sales, program management, manufacturing operations, product management, engineering or a similar technical customer‑facing role.
  • Ability to travel 25–50% as needed (mainly North America).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • Previous experience in the electrical/power distribution industry.
  • Understanding of UL and NEC codes.

  • Ability to learn market influences and develop detailed market analysis to build business cases for new product introductions.
  • Understand customer value creation and value pricing.
  • Manufacturing/operations awareness and understanding of the financial impact on product‑line performance.
  • Product application knowledge, good business acumen, and the ability to develop and execute tactical and strategic plans to support the product line’s goals.
