We provide comprehensive care from premium lens implants to glaucoma and macular degeneration, ensuring patients receive holistic care without multiple doctor visits.

Role Description

The Eye Clinic of Florida in Zephyrhills, FL seeks a Florida Licensed Optometrist for full-time or nearly full-time M-F 8-5 position. No Weekend Clinics.

The job is mix of:

  • 1/3 Routine Eye Exams and Contact Lens Fittings
  • 1/3 Medical Visit–usually stable glaucoma, macular degeneration, dry eye, etc
  • 1/3 Post op
    - Cataract and uncomplicated post-op patients.

We use electronic medical records so candidates must be fast two‑handed typists.

Our patients are nice. Our staff is amazing. We don't upsell the unnecessary. We use the most modern solutions that actually make impact.

We do focus on the very best in outcome and experience for our patients.

Over 95% of our post op cataract patients have less than .5D of sphere or cylinder.

We take very few of the poorly paying vision plans. We don't take Medicaid. We don't deal with the worst of the Dis‑Advantage plans.

Productivity Bonus, health insurance, and retirement plans are offered.

Qualifications
  • Licensed to practice optometry in the state of Florida
  • Proficiency in conducting eye exams, fitting and prescribing corrective lenses
  • Experience in diagnosing and treating ocular conditions
  • Strong patient education and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • Experience in post‑operative care for eye surgery patients is a plus
  • Dedication to providing high-quality patient care
  • Strong organizational and record‑keeping skills
