Pediatric Occupational Therapist – School-Based ServicesAcadia Therapy Services | Downeast Maine
Full-Time or Part-Time | OT or COTA
Acadia Therapy Services is a rapidly growing pediatric therapy practice serving children across Downeast and Central Maine. We are seeking 2–3 dedicated and enthusiastic Pediatric Occupational Therapists or Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs) to join our school-based team for the 2025–2026 academic year (with earlier start available).

AboutThe Role
- Provide direct OT services in local public schools (PreK–8 depending on district needs).
- Evaluate students using standardized tools and clinical observations.
- Support functional skills for school success—fine motor, sensory processing, self‑regulation, handwriting, executive functioning, classroom access, ADLs, and more.
- Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families.
- Write clear and timely documentation, including treatment notes, progress reports, and evaluation summaries.
- Contribute to IEP development and attend IEP meetings (in person or virtual).
- Communicate proactively with district staff to help meet student needs.
School‑based caseloads typically include a mix of weekly therapy sessions, consultative services, screenings, and participation in multidisciplinary student support teams.
