Our pharmacy technician positions have undergone an exciting transformation, moving from a transaction-based environment to a patient-centric one. As a Walgreens Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will be front‑and‑center, interacting with customers and building strong patient relationships with the support of the latest technology.

$16.50/hr – $20.00/hr

• Assist the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Process prescriptions using pharmacy systems, obtain patient and drug information, and ensure accuracy of all entries.
• Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues.
• Assist in inventory management activities such as ordering, unpacking, checking shipments, and maintaining accurate records.
• Assist pharmacists with administrative tasks, including recording sales, handling cash, and processing third‑party claims.
• Support clinical services, including collection and labeling of patient samples and coordination with external providers.
• Maintain relationships with the local medical community through outreach and provider detailing.
• Adhere to company policies, including Good Faith Dispensing, the Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and quality improvement procedures.
• Complete additional assignments and tasks as directed by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, or Store Manager.

• Earn and maintain PTCB certification through the designated training program and/or state-required certification.
• Attend managerial training sessions and pursue continuing education credits.
• Keep current with industry developments, best practices, and new technology.

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

• Six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Strong math skills for accurate prescription processing.
• Good computer skills.
• Knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification.
