Job SummaryHinckley is actively looking for an entry-level CNC Operator to work at our facility in Trenton, Maine. The CNC (Computer Numerical Control) operator’s job involves setting up and operating CNC machines to create precision parts and tools, while also ensuring quality, safety, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities- Operating CNC Machines:
Set up and operate CNC machines (Komo and Thermwood) according to blueprints, work orders, and specifications. - Machine Setup and Maintenance:
Prepare machines for operation, including loading materials, selecting tools, and making necessary adjustments. - Quality Control:
Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards. - Tooling and Fixtures:
Set and load tools and fixtures according to set-up instructions. - Record Keeping:
Maintain records of machine actions and production data. - Inventory Management:
Plan stock inventory. - Safety:
Adhering to safety procedures and regulations in the work environment. - Basic Maintenance:
Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing collects, tool inserts, and maintaining coolant levels. All duties as assigned.
- Experience:
Prior experience operating CNC mills. - Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Requires continuous mental and visual attention on an intermittent basis. - Certifications:
Must hold a valid driver’s license. - Pre-Employment:
All applicants must be able to successfully pass a background check as a condition of employment.
