Community Concierge

Overview

Elmhurst YMCA is hiring a Community Concierge team who want to turn their passion for customer service into a career. The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago is dedicated to creating long-lasting positive change through health and wellbeing, early education, violence prevention, and other programs and services. Community Concierge team members serve as the face of the Y, engaging with community members, providing solutions and offerings, and helping guests discover opportunities at the YMCA.

• Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged
• Answer phones and email inquiries
• Actively manage customer transactions
• Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times
• Anticipate individuals' needs to provide an exceptional customer experience
• Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock as needed
• Ensure front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently
• Conduct hub tours and assist prospective members; sell memberships

• At least 18 years of age
• Earned high school diploma or GED
• Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
• Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
