As an Electrical Engineer - Embedded Hardware, you will serve as a Subject Matter Expert in embedded systems and touch technologies—collaborating with cross‑functional teams to create solutions that meet demanding customer and production requirements. Candidates with experience in industrial, medical, or consumer electronics environments are highly desired.

What You Bring (Ideal Experience)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in new product development of embedded systems.
  • Experience with Altium or other schematic capture and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) layout software.
  • Experience in analog and/or mixed‑signal hardware design.
  • Expertise with measurement and test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Experience testing, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Radio Frequency (RF), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), and Signal‑to‑Noise Ratio (SNR).
  • Experience with serial communication hardware and protocols such as Inter‑Integrated Circuit (I2C), Universal Asynchronous Receiver‑Transmitter (UART), and Universal Serial Bus (USB).
  • Competent in soldering and reworking fine‑pitch components (0402 and larger) or be willing to learn.
  • Experience developing bare‑metal firmware on ARM Cortex‑M or similar microcontrollers (e.g., STM
    32, NXP, or Microchip).
  • Experience developing firmware in C/C++ and basic understanding of Assembly language.
  • Experience writing specifications, design documents, test plans and reports, failure analysis reports, and user documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable interfacing with customers and representing the company as a technical subject‑matter expert (SME).
  • Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Some travel is required (up to 10%, mostly domestic).
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
  • Experience reading 2D and 3D mechanical CAD design files.
  • Knowledgeable in power conditioning and designing systems for efficient, low‑power operation.
  • Experience with LCD Displays, Drivers, Backlight Inverters, and cabling.
  • Proficiency in modeling, data collection, data analysis, and statistical analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB, Python, R).
  • Experience troubleshooting firmware‑related issues with the aid of debuggers, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
  • Familiarity with source control systems, especially Git.
What You Do (Skills Used in this Position)
    li>Embedded hardware development with various microcontroller systems.
  • Circuit design for board communications and video interfaces – including analog and digital signals, power budgeting and regulation, peripheral integrations, and intrinsic safety.
  • Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design including schematic capture with Altium (layout and fabrication documentation a plus).
  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) for components and alternates for production assemblies.
  • Review all designs for manufacturability with our factories based on process/material capabilities.
  • Administer internal and external environmental and safety qualification planning and testing as needed.
  • Develop embedded firmware from low‑level peripheral drivers to touch algorithms for touch performance optimization.
  • Develop hardware and firmware for custom innovative human‑machine interfaces (HMI) and test solutions.
  • Perform touchscreen tuning with system parameters on multiple chipsets to meet customer specifications and requirements.
  • Support manufacturing, sales and customers with technical support.
  • Support field failure analysis and remediation.
