Position: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

IN DEMAND Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is currently looking to hire a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER for our client in Elmhurst, IL.

We are seeking a dynamic Human Resources professional to lead and support a wide range of HR functions, from talent acquisition to employee relations and compliance. This role is key in shaping workplace culture, driving engagement, and supporting organizational growth.

Job Description
  • Stay current with HR trends by attending workshops, networking, and reviewing industry resources.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and career development for direct reports to strengthen future talent pipelines.
  • Champion positive workplace culture, driving performance, transparency, and open communication.
  • Support the rollout of enterprise-wide programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and local initiatives.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
  • Lead recruitment efforts, including job postings, sourcing, interviews, and selection processes.
  • Partner with managers to understand staffing needs and create effective hiring strategies.
  • Build relationships with schools, universities, and local organizations to strengthen candidate pipelines.
  • Represent the company at job fairs, career events, and community outreach activities.
  • Manage onboarding processes, including orientation, paperwork, and compliance checks.
  • Oversee pre-employment testing, background checks, and other required screenings.
Employee Development & Talent Management
  • Facilitate performance and talent review processes.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement development plans to strengthen workforce capabilities.
  • Partner with leaders to design succession strategies and career pathing initiatives.
Employee Relations & Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted resource for employee concerns, grievances, and workplace conflicts.
  • Guide managers on performance management, disciplinary actions, and employee coaching.
  • Conduct engagement surveys and exit interviews, analyzing results to drive retention strategies.
  • Recommend process and policy improvements based on feedback and data insights.
Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure HR practices remain in compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Conduct workplace investigations as needed with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Provide training on key topics such as workplace safety, harassment prevention, and diversity.
  • Manage worker’s compensation claims and partner with third-party administrators as required.
HR Operations & Administration
  • Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS (experience with UKG Pro or similar systems preferred).
  • Generate reports on workforce data such as anniversaries, PTO, and organizational changes.
  • Respond to unemployment claims and complete employment verifications.
  • Assist with payroll-related adjustments and ensure accuracy of employee data.
What We Are Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required;
    Master’s degree or MBA a plus.
  • Professional HR certification (PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience supporting 100+ employees
  • Experience supporting multi-location business units
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • HRIS experience required (UKG Pro preferred, or equivalent platform).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality.
Working Conditions

This is an in-person role at the Elmhurst office. Once established in this role, there will be a 1 day per week allowance to work remotely

Occasional Travel Required to sites throughout the US. (expected travel up to 15%)
