Registered Nurse - Emergency Department- Night

Pay: $36.00 - $55.80 per hour (determined by expertise and experience).

• Position: RN – Emergency Department (Night Shift 7:00 pm–7:00 am)

  Elmhurst Main Hospital, Elmhurst, IL
• Contract:
  
  Full‑time, 36 hours/week (rotating holidays, every third weekend)

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Nursing

• 1+ year of experience in an emergency department unit
• Associate Degree or higher in Nursing (if the highest degree is an ADN, must obtain a BSN within five years of position start)

• Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse license
• Current CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within three months of start date
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within three months of start date
• Stroke Scale Certification (NIHSS) within three months of start date

Provide professional nursing care in accordance with the Illinois Professional Registered Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. Apply critical‑thinking skills, assess patients’ conditions, recognize changes, plan and evaluate care, monitor progress, and document observations. Delegate appropriate patient‑care tasks to other staff and function as a team member to achieve unit goals.
