American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a night-shift Emergency Room contract requiring IL RN licensure and prior travel nursing experience.

• Emergency Room department within a hospital setting
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 36 hours per week
• Every 3rd weekend required (Friday/Saturday nights)
• Holiday coverage required (1-2 holidays during contract)
• No floating or on-call requirements
• Uses Epic EMR

• Active IL RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required (BLS must be American Heart or American Red Cross)
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, 5+ years preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
• Epic EMR experience required
• New graduates will not be considered
• Resume, 2 professional references, skills checklist, and copies of certifications/license verification required for consideration
• 1 reference must be from most recent travel assignment
• Date of birth required for consideration

• Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER environment
• Orientation consists of 2-3 shifts (24-36 hours)
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must be separated for 12 months before being eligible as a traveler
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
• Facility conducts a brief interview (10-15 minutes) as part of the hiring process
