American Traveler is hiring a PACU RN for an outpatient surgery center position requiring 2+ years of PACU Phase I and II experience and an active IL RN license.

• Outpatient surgery center setting performing multi-specialty cases including Cataracts, GI, Pain, Sports Medicine, Hands, and Podiatry
• Patients range in age from 11 months to 100 years
• Cases performed under MAC, General, Local, and IVCS anesthesia
• RN performs Phase I and Phase II recovery care in the same bay
• Day shift schedule,
• No weekend, holiday, floating, or on-call requirements
• 6-week contract length

• Active IL RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required, PALS preferred
• American Heart Association certifications preferred, American Red Cross accepted for BLS
• Minimum 2 years of PACU Phase I and II experience required
• Epic EMR experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Two current professional references from a Supervisor/Manager/Charge within the relevant specialty area, dated within the last year
• One travel reference preferred

• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care to patients across a wide age range in a multi-specialty outpatient surgical setting
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate
• Facility conducts a 10-15 minute interview prior to placement
• Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break in service before being eligible as a travel candidate
• RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for this 6-week contract
