American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Room RN for a night shift contract requiring prior travel nursing experience and Epic proficiency.
Requirements- Active IL RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
- BLS certification must be from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, 5+ years preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required with at least 1 completed travel assignment
- Epic EMR experience required
- New graduates will not be considered
- Emergency Room setting within a hospital
- Night shift, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- 36 scheduled hours per week
- Every 3rd weekend required (Friday/Saturday night shifts)
- Holiday coverage required (1-2 holidays during contract)
- No floating or on-call requirements
- Provide emergency department nursing care in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Local candidates accepted at the same rate
- Must reside within a 50-mile radius
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Returning permanent or per diem staff must have a 12-month break before being eligible as a travel candidate
- RTO limited to a maximum of 3 days for 8-week contracts or 7 days for 13-week contracts
- Facility conducts a brief interview (10-15 minutes) prior to placement
