Part-Time Sales Associate - Elmhurst

Description

• Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Greet customers on the sales floor, determine desired merchandise, and assist in locating products. Display merchandise, suggest options, and highlight selling points such as quality and utility.
• Operate the POS system as a cashier, prepare sales slips or contracts, process payments or credit approvals, and bag merchandise. Note out-of-stock items or special customer needs.
• Display new merchandise, stock shelves neatly by product type, brand, and size. Rotate stock and check for outdated goods.
• Maintain inventory by counting, sorting, or weighing incoming products, verifying receipt, inspecting for damage, and updating records for adjustments and stock changes.
• Determine storage methods considering environmental and capacity factors, and store items appropriately by style, size, or type.
• Assist in maintaining store cleanliness, including sweeping, mopping, washing windows, and cleaning restrooms.
• Follow safety and GMP standards.
