Job Summary

The Inside Sales III (Dispatcher) position supports the sales/operations of the branches by responding to customer inquiries and concerns and resolving customer complaints. The role manages communication between customers, branches, and outside sales representatives, assigns orders to drivers, directs the flow of logistics of materials to and from the job site, and communicates delivery capabilities and expectations.

This is a safety‑sensitive role that requires compliance with the company's drug and alcohol policy and adherence to all safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct the flow of deliveries/pickups and perform supporting administrative duties.
  • Communicate delivery capabilities and expectations.
  • Predict, manage, and escalat[e] order fulfillment drawbacks or complications.
  • Manage dispatch of vehicles to maximize efficiency of order fulfillment.
  • Receive and respond to all customer inquiries, orders, and complaints.
  • Generate all sales operations documents (invoicing, contracts, pick list, packing list, returns) and distribute to respective departments.
  • Maintain communication with drivers to expedite deliveries.
  • Guide, assist, and elevate complaint resolution to ensure customers are properly served.
  • Provide customers and other branches with any data and backup data as requested.
  • Follow up on a regular and as‑needed basis with customers, branches, and shop/yard operations on all open and unresolved customer issues.
  • Report on all out‑of‑line conditions affecting customer satisfaction.
  • May take after‑hours calls (security, and customers) and document any complaints for resolution at some branches.
  • Assist in inventory and cycle counts.
  • Assist in directing and prioritizing logistics of deliveries/pickups and related sales support duties.
  • May open and/or close operations facilities in some branches.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, to enhance relationships with customers and team members.
  • Quick learner, attention to detail, and adaptability skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Emotional intelligence and strong collaborative skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Infor, Microsoft Office, and Salesforce CRM.
  • Expert knowledge of operational processes; including deliveries/pickups, commensurate with the rental industry.
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years’ experience working as an Inside Sales Rep or on a sales desk preferred, preferably in the construction equipment industry.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
