Senior Bid Estimator

Role Description

This full‑time, on‑site role is for a Construction Estimator at Darcon Construction Inc in Elmont, NY. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing a comprehensive estimate for public works projects, reviewing specifications and drawings, providing take‑off and pricing, obtaining subcontractor pricing, and preparing bids for submission to agencies.

Requirements for this role include: minimum 10 years of experience, familiarity with Excel, and experience with Plan Swift/on‑screen takeoff software.

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5‑10 years of experience as an estimator in public works.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
