Job Description

As a Security Officer - Mall Security Patrol in Elmont, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and exceptional customer service. You will interact with guests, support a positive environment, and communicate clearly while upholding our values of agility, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
• Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site policies.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
• Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols for various situations that may arise within the location.
• Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
