Lead store operations to achieve sales growth, deliver superior customer service, and cultivate a high‑performing team. Operate within Goodwill NYNJ standards, focus on training, and act as the owner of the business.
Essential Functions- Analyze sales reports and data to inform business strategies and set KPI goals (ATV, UPT, conversion).
- Coach and motivate the team to meet objectives, develop sales techniques, and demonstrate leadership on the selling floor.
- Collaborate with Regional/District Manager and Marketing to identify and execute marketing opportunities.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, educate clients on Goodwill Rewards and Mission, and nurture repeat customers.
- Resolve customer complaints quickly and respectfully, ensuring a positive experience.
- Maintain cash control procedures, manage store P&L, and schedule labor to meet budgets.
- Train staff in register usage, loss prevention, and inventory management.
- Monitor inventory, manage stockroom flow, and ensure timely donation processing.
- Execute merchandising and visual standards, coordinate with warehouse for assortment and inventory levels.
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and develop personnel, ensuring compliance with payroll, standards, and workplace safety.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required;
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. - Minimum 5 years of retail store management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and ability to adapt to internal applications.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical stamina: ability to stand for long periods and lift/push up to 50 lbs.
- Open availability; willing to work holidays and weekends.
