Job Description & How to Apply Below
The Town of Elon is excited to announce an opening for a Police Officer! We’re looking for motivated and qualified individuals, preferably with experience, to join our dynamic team. Our department proudly serves a growing, vibrant community of about 12,000 residents across six square miles. Perfectly situated between Raleigh and Greensboro, Elon is known as one of the safest communities in North Carolina.
Plus, we’re home to Elon University, welcoming students from across the U.S. and around the globe. If you're ready to make a real impact in a thriving town, we encourage you to apply!
Our department consists of 22 full-time sworn officers, 3 part-time sworn officers, and 1 parking enforcement officer. While the Town of Elon experiences a lower call volume compared to larger cities, our officers handle the full range of criminal activity and face the same challenges found in modern law enforcement. We pride ourselves on building strong, positive relationships within the community and take a holistic approach to crime reduction, emphasizing outreach, education, and enforcement to help keep our town safe.
We offer competitive pay with a comprehensive benefits package and incentive bonuses (see additional info section below). The salary range is negotiable for lateral officers with extensive training and on-the-job experience.
